The Renewal BLS Course trains participants to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. BLS Students will receive an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider certification card (valid for 2 years) immediately upon successful completion of this class. This BLS renewal course is perfect for professional rescuers: nurses, EMTs, dental workers, doctor’s office staff, physical therapists and many other healthcare professions who have already been BLS certified.
Learn the basic techniques of CPR, how to use an AED, and how to provide first aid for choking. This course is ideal for anyone who wants to be prepared to respond to an emergency, including parents, teachers, and fitness professionals.
Hands-On Portion: Skills Sessions for In-Person Practice and Testing
For American Heart Association courses that include psychomotor skills such as CPR, students must complete an in-person skills practice and testing session to obtain an AHA course completion card. With AHA Blended Learning, the skills practice and skills test are taken together during a Hands-on Skills Session after the student completes the eLearning portion online. Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare professionals trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality CPR, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. After completion of the online portion you will receive a certification. You must present certificate to instructor before you complete Hands-On Skill Session. Call 810.919.9779 to make appointment.
