Course Overview
The AHA Heartsaver Adult CPR/AED course is designed for non-EMS responders and individuals who require CPR and AED certification for their workplace or professional enrichment. This course focuses exclusively on adult CPR and AED techniques.
Participants will learn to recognize cardiac arrest, perform high-quality chest compressions, deliver rescue breaths, and operate an AED — all skills needed to respond confidently until emergency medical services arrive. Upon successful completion, you'll receive an AHA course completion card valid for two years.

What You'll Learn
This focused course covers the essential CPR and AED skills needed to respond to an adult cardiac emergency.
Adult CPR
Perform high-quality chest compressions at the correct depth and rate to maintain blood flow during cardiac arrest.
AED Use
Operate an automated external defibrillator (AED) safely and effectively to restore normal heart rhythm in an adult.
Rescue Breathing
Deliver effective rescue breaths using mouth-to-mouth or a mask to provide oxygen during CPR.
Choking Relief
Recognize and respond to a choking emergency in a conscious adult using back blows and abdominal thrusts.
Scene Safety & Recognition
Assess the scene for safety, recognize the signs of cardiac arrest, and activate the emergency response system.
Chain of Survival
Understand the AHA Chain of Survival and how early CPR and defibrillation dramatically improve survival rates.
Who This Course Is For
Heartsaver Adult CPR/AED is designed for non-EMS responders — individuals with little or no medical training who need CPR and AED certification for their job, regulatory requirements (such as OSHA), or personal readiness. It covers adult techniques only, making it a focused, efficient option for workplace certification.
